Oversee all aspects of tax compliance, including federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize tax liabilities.
Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure the company's compliance with new tax requirements.
Prepare and review financial statements and tax provisions in accordance with GAAP and tax accounting standards.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as finance, legal, and accounting, to ensure tax considerations are integrated into decision-making processes.
Manage and supervise a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
Represent the company during tax audits and communicate with tax authorities, as necessary.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the tax department.
Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in law. A master’s degree on Finance, Accounting certification is preferred.
Proven experience as a Tax Manager or a similar tax leadership role, with at least (X) years of experience in tax planning and compliance.
Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as experience with tax software and accounting systems.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and tax software.
