**About Us**

We are a team of passionate individuals, developing ground-breaking biological technologies designed to sustainably, and safely, control insects that transmit diseases and destroy crops. We do this work to improve lives and livelihoods around the world in the face of the growing threats that insects pose to human health and the global food supply.

Whilst what we do relates to developing insect control technologies, Oxitec is about people and is in service to people.

We are strongly committed to a set of values, principles, and behaviours, and foster a culture of trust, respect, creativity, and accountability. Click here to learn more, and here to read our CEO’s blog about trust and our culture.

**Purpose of the Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager with experience of public health initiatives to control vector-borne diseases and/or biological control of crop pests, and who has a passion for translating cutting edge research into high impact commercially viable products.

It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of working across technical and commercial teams managing the process of bringing final stage R&D pipeline products through to market.

You will join our Project Management team (PMO) and augment Oxitec’s centralised PMO working across all of our R&D Programs, by taking over from R&D Program Leads at the point where products transition from UK-based development to beta and/or full commercial launch managed from Campinas, in Brazil.

This newly created role will support Oxitec’s Commercial Team to specifically manage the delivery of our go-to-market implementation plans to time, cost and quality.

This is a key role within the PMO, supporting Oxitec’s ability to scale - bringing more products through from R&D to market in parallel, without compromising on quality or the speed with which we can access markets and make an impact on global health and food security.

The role holder will report in to the PMO’s Lead (Director of Technology Program Management, UK-based) but will retain matrix line management under Brazil’s Country Director.

**Responsibilities**

Embedded within our Global Production Hub in Campinas, your unique blend of expertise, skills and experience will contribute towards our mission: achieving demonstrable, real-world public health impacts, using project management best practice.

You will be fully supported by Oxitec’s Project Management Office, and in turn will be expected to support your team (spanning the UK, US, Brazil) to achieve strategically prioritised product launches.

The responsibility of the role include:

- Working with Program Leads, and managing project plan delivery, where products transition from R&D pipelines into high volume production, to facilitate go-to-market strategies;
- Ensuring timely delivery of commercial milestones to cost and quality. Escalating delays and timeline slippage to key stakeholders when appropriate.
- Progress update reporting to the Commercial Team and the R&D Technical Operations Group, to provide visibility of progress towards meeting our key performance indicators (KPIs) and achieving company goals; you will also be expected to brief upwards to the Executive Leadership team.
- Directly supporting the Director of Business Development, to manage the successful delivery of quarterly priorities across the Commercial Team.
- Strengthen our Global PMO’s capabilities by establishing project management best practice throughout our Brazil Hub, mentoring and coaching colleagues.
- Contributing to the maintenance of our centrally managed risk register and lessons learned log.

**Key Qualifications and Experience**

To succeed in this role, working at the interface of translating world-class research into real world impacts, and doing so at pace without sacrificing quality, you will need to:

- be a resilient, resourceful project manager;
- be a team player with a calm approach and a natural aptitude for problem solving;
- have strong relationship building and collaboration skills;
- demonstrate excellent communication skills with extensive experience of stakeholder management;
- have a track record of leading multi-country, complex product development projects - delivering to time, cost and quality;
