Job Summary
Plan, organize and control all daily activities of the OCC Units, responsible for control of OCC in LATAM.
Job Responsibilities
Implement new technology and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the dispatch center.
Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures to minimize accidents and incidents.
Manage inventory levels and reduce waste.
Facilitate effective communication between the management team and the workforce.
Fostered a positive team culture by encouraging open communication and providing support to team members.
Led a team of OCC supervisors and coordinators, providing guidance, training, and support
Implemented and monitored key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate the performance of the OCC
Coordinated with various departments and stakeholders ensuring that all aspects of the service were running smoothly and efficiently
Ensure safety policies and procedures are adhered to
Ensure all operational KPIs are correctly measured, followed up and reported
In cooperation with the unit managers, manage and optimize the organizational structure in line with the unit objectives
Coordinate and follow up all processes: manage long-term flight information, coordinate and follow up distribution tasks, process and monitor real time flight information, follow up all load planning related activities and issues
Meet with customers concerning delays and contestations
Coordinate all units in the administration and reporting area.
Maintain good operational relations with external stakeholders such as customers, airport authorities, CAA, Immigration, Customs
Investigate and report irregularities in line with the established procedures and take appropriate actions
Escalate decisions that require approval to deviate from Swissport or local procedures to the Station Manager
Qualifications and Competencies
University degree or equivalent
3-5 years of managerial experience in the ground handling operations
Experience in OCC and Load Control
Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of managing people
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Fluent or advanced English is mandatory
Espanish desirable
