Pre-Construction Manager - Data Center
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee vital pre-construction mobilization for a large-scale state-of-the-art data center development. Reporting to the Project Director, you will create execution strategies and plans ensuring the project starts off right when main construction kicks off.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop overall pre-construction scope, schedule, resourcing strategies and risk plans
- Lead selection process of general contractors, key specialty contractors
- Initiate permitting, surveying and site investigation works
- Finalize development briefs, specifications and drawings to a biddable state
- Align contracting strategies, onboard vendors, develop testimony log
- Start establishing document control processes and tools
- Manage function team members assigned to assist your pre-construction workstreams
Preferred Qualifications / Relevant Experience
- 5+ years related PM experience (data center projects exp. is desirable)
- Strong track record managing pre-construction activities.
- Excellent project planning, work packaging and vendor management skills
- Proficiency in using construction management software, scheduling tools, and project management platforms.
- Familiarity with construction regulations, permits, and approvals.
- Proactive communicator and coordinator across disciplines
