**Job Description**:
The PLM is accountable for setting and executing the Product Line strategy within their product families in order to maximize the profitability of the business.
The role is a key contributor to the P&L and responsible to manage all business drivers within their specific Product Line families, both in terms of Long-term and Short-term goals. This person will be the reference for business optimization processes and initiatives.
- This role will provide the Cellulose product line ambition and set objectives for strategy execution through actionable roadmaps and clearly defined KPIs.
- PLM is accountable for the Cellulose P&L and takes leadership to achieve the targets defined in the budget through proactively assessing and acting upon identified risks and opportunities.
- Based on product line strategy, PLM is accountable to develop 3 roadmaps: product, investment and operational efficiency.
- The product roadmap will be managed by:
- PLM will be accountable for engaging and communicating to the different functions through clear and objective KPIs, regular reporting and meetings with key stakeholders to keep the Product Line goal execution on track.
- Defining product mix optimization and standardization.
- Playing a leading role in consolidating the competitive environment assessment of its product line. PLM will also support the market manager to build value propositions for its products.
- Contributing to innovation projects as PLM representative.
- Optimizing the asset utilization and product mix to maximize the VM by continuously challenging and aligning with the S&OP team when defining the asset load plan and the business consensus plan. In case of capacity constraint PLM will be responsible for deciding the allocation prioritization working closely with sales and DPO.
- Work closely with the SI&OP demand team and sales to enhance forecast accuracy and challenge the SI&OP supply team to bridge possible capacity constraints.
- PLM will act as liaison to sales and assist in optimizing the customer VM when needed.
- Support target and minimum inventories choices to optimize working capital whilst ensuring a high level of customer service.
- PLM will support the sales team for contract management.
- Ensuring the implementation of business continuity plan, either regionally or globally, depending on the nature of the risk.
- The investment roadmap will be managed by:
- Identifying the necessary investments required in order to be able to deliver on the mid and long term strategy.
- Build and manage the investment portfolio resulting from the strategy in conjunction with the PPM team. Continuously re-analyse and re-prioritize (including project de-commissioning and approval of new projects) such that the portfolio remains relevant.
- Sponsor the key projects in the portfolio and work closely with the GPL team to ensure these cross each of the stage gates on time in full.
- Review key financial metrics of the Product Line such as ROA to ensure the portfolio is the most appropriate to maximize profitability for the business.
- The operational efficiency roadmap will be managed by:
- Engaging Quality, manufacturing, and industrial controlling teams on a regular basis to review manufacturing costs and efficiency and putting in place improvement plans on an ongoing basis.
- Taking an active role in defining the business asset footprint and the site-specific industrial strategies.
- Ensuring industrial capabilities to deliver through the assessment of the asset on profitability
- Participating in and influencing regarding site development plans and base capex
**Education**:
Higher education or University degree preferred.
**Experience**:
5-10 years proven experience in the Life Sciences, Biopharma or, Pharmaceutical ingredients Industry preferred
